Trixie Mattel’s new Pride song features iconic quotes from HBO’s White Lotus, Euphoria and more

Drag Race star Trixie Mattel has released a “chronically online” Pride anthem made entirely of iconic quotes from HBO shows, including White Lotus and Euphoria.

In celebration of Pride Month, the “Gay HBO Max Song” was released on YouTube on Friday (27 June) and has already racked up hundreds of views.

The track opens with Lexi Featherston’s quote from Sex and the City — “No one’s fun anymore. Whatever happened to fun? I’m so bored I could die” — from the episode “Sleepless in the City.”

It’s followed by Jennifer Coolidge’s iconic White Lotus line, “Please, these gays,” blended with Euphoria’s Cassie Howard unconvincing declaring, “I have never been happier.”

Comments under the video praise the song as “so much fun.” One user wrote, “Omg I want moreeeeeeeee,” while another said, “It’s giving chronically online gay person!”

Another joked, “This warms my cold, gay heart,” while someone else added, “Omg this is so gloriously unhinged in all the best ways.”

‘This is a gay person’s brain on HBO Max’

The song is a celebration of the fandoms that have helped establish HBO Max as a cultural phenomenon.

Local DJs will be invited to collaborate to mix the song bringing together communities from across the globe.

Trixie said of the song: “Look, as gay people we live and breathe pop culture. So making this track using timeless clips from some of tv’s most iconic moments felt like the perfect way to celebrate PRIDE. This is a gay person’s brain on HBO Max. Now go put on a blonde wig, click play, and dance.”
