Love Island hideaway scandal rocks villa as multiple couples split before public vote

The Love Island villa is in turmoil after several Islanders called it quits with their partners last night, and the drama doesn’t look set to simmer down tonight. On Thursday evening (June 26), fans saw Alima pull up Remell over his flirty antics with new girl Poppy during the sleepover twist, putting an end to their romance. At the same time, Conor spilled the beans to Emily about his snog with Megan while she was off at the second villa, leading her to cut ties with the sports star. Megan and Tommy also ended what had been one of the villa’s most solid pairings, while Ben voiced his unhappiness with his coupling with Yasmin, pulling her aside for a chat to say he wanted to split. Although things seemed to end on good terms initially, his sneaky comments about the banking exec later came to light, leading to a fiery face-off when she confronted him. And tonight (June 27) more couples will be thrown into chaos as the Islanders brace themselves for the results of the first public vote, reports OK! Despite hitting it off with Giorgio during the sleepover, Helena confides in Harrison that she’s not happy with her current couple and finds him too “serious”, all while Shakira, Toni and Emily watch their chat from a distance. After breaking things off with Giorgio – who soon sets his sights on Yasmin – Helena and Harrison head to the hideaway terrace which sparks a massive row, especially following Harrison and Toni’s seemingly successful first date picking strawberries. Harrison confides in Helena on the villa’s terrace, warning they “could be in trouble”, but she shoots back: “It’s the risk you’ve got to take sometimes,” confessing she’s got “nothing to lose.” Back in the garden, Harrison gets a grilling from Toni over his hideaway antics. She fumes: “We just went on a f****** date yesterday and you’re already going to the hideaway with another girl.” Shakira wades in, giving Harrison a piece of her mind: “I don’t know what planet you’re on. You’ve obviously upset the girl, you know what reaction it was going to have.” Harrison tries to brush it off, claiming “it’s not that deep”, but it could be curtains for his romance with Toni. The Islanders are also in for a shock when they discover the result of the first public vote of the series. Viewers have been voting for their favourite girl and boy, and the fallout from their decision is about to drop in a bombshell text.
