Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav, speaking at the India Climate Summit 2025 on Friday, shared how the state is emerging as a leader in climate resilience with ambitious targets and innovative policies. From the creation of 360 climate-smart villages and promotion of renewable energy, green infrastructure and sustainable waste management, Yadav said that while the entire world is struggling with environmental problems, the state was emerging as a pioneer in initiatives to tackle it. “The climate crisis is affecting the entire world. If we feel the adverse effects on the environment, then whether it is agriculture, health, or any other field, we can see its adverse effects all around us. The Honourable Prime Minister has given a lot of importance to the awareness of the environment and the importance of climate change. The entire world is struggling with environmental problems. Our country is also not untouched,” he said. “In this context, if I talk about Madhya Pradesh, then Madhya Pradesh has been very prosperous in water, forest, land, and all three areas. In such a situation, it is our responsibility to maintain the strength of our nature by joining with our environment. Especially, if we talk about the importance of green energy in today’s time, then we can say that the world is learning from Madhya Pradesh,” he added. India Climate Summit 2025 The second edition of the India Climate Summit was inaugurated by Environment Minister Bhupender Yadav. He, along with other dignitaries, lit the ceremonial lamp, marking the beginning of high-level discussions on climate action.
