Jake Paul threatened to shoot Julian Rodriguez during a heated verbal exchange during a pre-fight press conference. The ‘Problem Child’ makes his highly-anticipated return to the ring on Saturday night , taking on former middleweight world champion Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. Paul, 28, has not fought since cruising to a points victory against Mike Tyson back in November. The YouTuber-turned-boxer is hoping that a win over the Mexican will earn hims a few high profile fights in the near future. But before the pair square off on Saturday, both men got the chance to go face-to-face on Thursday evening. Rather than opting to trade barbs with Chavez Jr, Paul was involved in a heated exchange with Rodriguez – who is set to compete on the undercard this weekend. Rodriguez is scheduled to take on Most Valuable Promotions’ newest signing Avious Griffin in an intriguing match-up. The 30-year-old originally thanked Paul and MVP for the opportunity before taking a swipe at the ‘Problem Child’ – labelling the American as ‘Mr Tik Tok.’ “Do not let Mr Tik Tok blow your head up. I am coming on Saturday.” Paul quickly blasted back: “I will beat the f*** out of you too, b**** boy. You are tiny, bro.” He added: “My boy is going to beat your a** and then I am going to put it on Tik Tok. I am going to put you in Tik Tok in front of all my followers getting f****** slept by this dope right here. Dumb a**, I do not even know your f****** name.” Rodriguez responded: “Go ahead! You are a YouTuber.” The drama did not end there, though, after Paul threatened to shoot the 30-year-old. “There is a lot of history here. We have got the young Avious Griffin fighting against… I do not know his name.” Rodriguez interrupted: “There is four fighters on this stage that will knock you out, Jake.” The ‘Problem Child’ issued a chilling threat, stating: “And there is one mother****** that will shoot you in the f****** head. That is me, b****!” Despite the verbal insults thrown at each other, the pair did not physically trade blows. The 28-year-old did get the chance to talk about his upcoming opponent, Chavez Jr, and revealed he will knock the Mexican out early doors with a right hook. “I’m going to knock him out,” Paul said. “That’s what I came here to do. First-round. “It’s going to be an early night. He’s going to get hit with a right hook right away and I’m going home early. I don’t get paid for overtime. It’s going to be a spectacular performance.” Paul is well known for his trash talk and getting under his opponents’ skin. However, Chavez Jr revealed that none of it bothers him, stating: “No, I was expecting that from him. It’s the only way for him to get attention. I am ready.”
