Social media star and fashion critic Sufi Motiwala is bowing out of The Traitors, but not without leaving behind a note full of humour, heart, and hard-earned wisdom. After his unexpected eviction from the hit reality show, Sufi took to Instagram to share an emotional yet cheeky farewell message — what he called “The Obituary of Sufi Motiwala.”
“I said yes to this show with one thing in mind – to show the world (or at least one person) that I’m more than just what’s on my Instagram,” Sufi began, in a post that quickly struck a chord with fans. “I wanted to show you the shades of Sufi: the crazy, the senti, the whimsy, the unhinged, and the purely psychotic. Also the embarrassing, the dumb, the cuckoo, the ‘wtf is she doing?’”
Known for his eccentric fashion choices and witty online persona, Sufi used the opportunity to reflect on his growth since entering the public eye at 19. Now 21, he wrote, “I CANNOT be perfect. But lately I’ve realised: no one can. Since I started this journey at 19, I’ve been growing up in front of you… Now at 21, I’m happy, I’m content, and baby, I’m still just 21. We ought to reach the Met Gala by 45 at least.”

He ended the note with characteristic flair and gratitude: “To my lovers and haters (y’all are wild but sometimes constructive – I give 10s where 10s are due). And my hair is a mystery never to be fully understood, so don’t even BIATCH. That’s all. Thank you for watching, follow for more. Bye.”
In the caption, he added, “The obituary of Sufi Motiwala. They got me gurl ? in another reality I win.”
Sufi’s elimination came after fellow contestant Purav Jha, now the sole Traitor, secretly chose him for removal during a cocktail party following Elnaaz Nourouzi’s exit. The next day, during a challenge, the poisoned contestant was revealed to be Sufi, sealing his fate on the show.
Set against the majestic backdrop of Jaisalmer’s Suryagarh Palace, The Traitors delves into a game of deception and trust. In the show, select participants are secretly designated as “traitors,” and must eliminate the others—dubbed “innocents”—without getting caught.
Other contestants who’ve exited the game include Raj Kundra, Karan Kundrra, Raftaar, Jannat Zubair, Maheep Kapoor, Anshula Kapoor, and Ashish Vidyarthi. Still in the game are Jasmine Bhasin, Uorfi Javed, Apoorva Mukhija, Sudhanshu Pandey, and more.
New episodes of The Traitors drop every Thursday.
