New Delhi: The Delhi Traffic Police has released a traffic advisory in view of the 47th Rath Yatra of Lord Jagannath in Hauz Khas on Friday, from 2 PM to 6 PM. The 47th Rath Yatra (Car Festival) of Lord Jagannath is being organised by Sree Neelachala Seva Sangha on Friday, 27th June 2025, from 02:00 PM to 06:00 PM in the area of Hauz Khas. Diverted AreasTraffic movement will be regulated/diverted on the following roads during the event: IIT Flyover (Outer Ring Road)Commuters coming from MG Road/Mehrauli towards New Delhi are advised to use Outer Ring Road – Panchsheel Flyover – August Kranti Marg via AllMS Flyover. Alternatively, take a left turn from IIT Flyover and use Africa Avenue Road from IIT Gate Flyover to reach New Delhi. INA Market – Aurobindo Marg /AIIMS Flyover LoopCommuters coming from New Delhi via Aurobindo Marg towards MG Road/Mehrauli/Gurugram should follow Ring Road – take right from Andrews Ganj Flyover – August Kranti Marg. Restricted Stretches Vehicular movement on Aurobindo Marg (from IIT Flyover to AIIMS Loop) will remain restricted from 02:00 PM to 06:00 PM on 27.06.2025.Heavy traffic may be experienced on Aurobindo Marg and adjoining roads like Ring Road, Outer Ring Road, and August Kranti Marg.Emergency Vehicles All emergency vehicles including Delhi Police, Ambulance (to AIIMS/Safdarjung), Fire Brigade etc. will be allowed free access where restrictions/diversions are imposed, but are advised to avoid Aurobindo Marg if possible to prevent delays.Instructions to Commuters Avoid the affected stretches between 02:00 PM to 06:00 PM to ensure a hassle-free commute. •Commuters heading towards airports, railway stations, or hospitals should plan their travel in advance. Use public transport wherever possible to reduce congestion.Park only in designated areas. Improperly parked vehicles will be towed and penalised.
