Wolves fans pick their six of the best

Wolves’ historic six Premier League wins in a row have been voted the fans’ moment of the season. A campaign which started worryingly ended in a big positive following the arrival of manager Vitor Pereira. Other options nominated for moment of the season included Pereira’s appointment, Rayan Ait-Nouri’s record goal involvements for a defender, the derby win over Villa, defender Emmanuel Agbadou’s signing and the Boxing Day victory against Manchester United. Before last season, Wolves had only previously won three Premier League matches in succession after returning to the top flight in 2003, but went three better this time around. It started at lowly Southampton, where Jorgen Strand Larsen scored twice in a 2-1 victory, and Wolves followed that up with a 1-0 win at home to West Ham, Strand Larsen again on target. They equalled their three-wins-in-a-row record at Ipswich, who took the lead through Liam Delap before Wolves came roaring back late on through Pablo Sarabia and, that man again, Strand Larsen. The best performance of the six arguably came next with a rampant 4-2 win over Europa League winners Tottenham. Ait-Nouri struck after just 85 seconds to register Wolves’ fastest-ever Premier League goal, before a Djed Spence own goal and further strikes from Strand Larsen and Matheus Cunha. Sarabia’s stunning free-kick made it five from five at Manchester United and they capped it off with a 3-0 win over Leicester, thanks to Strand Larsen, Cunha and Rodrigo Gomes.
