The Vampire Diaries reunion was probably not in our 2025 bingo card! The major cast of the global hit got together for the wedding of actor Michael Trevino, who played werewolf Tyler Lockwood on the CW show. The 40-year-old tied the knot with model-actress Bregje Heinen in Spain recently, and the clicks and videos shared by the show’s lead actress Nina Dobrev (Elena Gilbert) were enough to leave any TVD fan nostalgic. Nina attended the celebration with fiance, Olympic gold medalist Shaun White. TVD co-stars who attended Michael’s special day were Zach Roerig (Matt Donovan), Kayla Ewell (Vicki Donovan) and Charles Michael Davis (Marcel Gerard). Candice King (Caroline Forbes) was accompanied by her fiancée Steven Krueger, who played Josh Rosza in TVD spinoff The Originals. Creator of both the shows, Julie Plec was also present. Nina captioned her post on Instagram , “the most beautiful weekend celebrating these two.” In captio of another post, she wrote, “sunlight, sangria, and a little bit of grain. Spain on film.” Kayla Ewell, who also shared a video which she captioned, “Dear Diary, Tonight we were feeling epic @michaeltrevino & @bregjeheinen congratulations on finding true love. Marriage is the best. We love you!” SHe wrote in her picture post, “Highly recommend having a group of lifelong friends who have loved you since middle school; girls who know you inside & out, who have your back no matter what and will travel the world to celebrate turning 40 together.” TVD fans pointed at Salvatore brothers’ absence Two male leads of The Vampire Diaries, actors Paul Wesley and Ian Somerhalder who played Stefan Salvatore and Damon Salvatore respectively did not attend the celebration. Many fans missed seeing the Salvatore brothers and reacted the same in the comments section.
