'I visited M&S factory outlet was amazed by price of huge cake'

A woman was left amazed by the price of a huge cake at the Marks and Spencer factory outlet shop. While many UK supermarkets boast in-store bakeries, M&S cakes are often hailed as some of the best on offer. These large cakes come in various designs and flavours, but their elaborate nature can often mean a hefty price tag. However, travel content creator Nicole stumbled upon a place where you can snag your favourite M&S treats for a fraction of the usual cost. She took to TikTok to share her discovery, exclaiming: “Oh my God, right, I have found the factory where they make all the M&S fresh food and they have a factory shop.” Nicole showed viewers the M&S bargains she’d managed to bag from the shop. First up, she managed to find a large bag of mini chocolate caterpillars for just 拢2.50. She also picked up a pack of flapjack bites for the same price, remarking that the pack was “so heavy.” Next, Nicole purchased a large bag of strawberry and cream mini bites, again for 拢2.50. She explained that these treats were so affordable because they “have all been slightly damaged,” so they’re sold in the factory shop rather than M&S stores nationwide. She then revealed a whole lemon and sponge roll she’d snapped up for a mere 50p, along with a sticky toffee pudding for 拢1.50. Nicole concluded her shopping spree by unveiling the biggest bargain of them all: an M&S Naked Vanilla cake for just 拢7. In store, these cakes can typically cost shoppers around 拢30. The bargain cost of the cakes was so tempting she snapped up two from the Park Cakes Company Shop, a hidden gem in Oldham, close to Manchester. While exploring the shop, she discovered a Doug the Dog cake priced at just 拢2.50, which she hailed as “an absolute bargain” alongside full layer cakes for 拢10. The savvy shopper highlighted the ever-changing deals, recounting: “We went in for my daughter’s party and managed to get everything for like under 拢10.” Nicole also stumbled upon a big chocolate caterpillar delight for only 拢1. The Park Cakes Company Shop welcomes customers six days a week, but it is not open to those under 17 years of age. Her TikTok video showcasing the finds has racked up 1.2million views, secured 66,900 likes, and sparked more 600 comments so far. One viewer shared their local pride: “Literally down the road from me! Love a cheeky Park Cakes trip.” Another excitedly posted: “What?! I’ve just stumbled across this and Googled it, it’s 29 minutes away from me! Omg I’m going thank you lol.” Meanwhile, some fans of the shop pleaded for discretion: “No don’t put Park Cakes on the map.” Another agreed, saying: “Please stop putting people onto Park Cakes! It’s my fave place.”
