This article contains spoilers for The Bear season 4.
One of the major ingredients of every season of The Bear is a long list of surprise guest stars, and season 4 cooks up yet another impressive roster of big names.
FX/Hulu’s restaurant dramedy did it once again, as Carmy’s (Jeremy Allen White) personal and professional families came together to save the restaurant and celebrate a big wedding featuring returning fan-favorites as well as some new faces.
Check out the full list of surprise appearances below.
Jon Bernthal
It wouldn’t be a season of The Bear without Mikey’s (Jon Bernthal) presence looming large. And while he’s talked about a lot, the only time he appears onscreen is when the premiere opens with a quiet yet meaningful flashback of Mikey and Carmy cooking together, bonding over their dreams and “asshole” absentee father.
Sarah Ramos and the Ever all-stars
The Ever dream team is back! Jessica (Sarah Ramos), the Ever general manager (Rene Gube), and Garrett (Andrew Lopez) are hired at The Bear to help turn things around after the restaurant’s negative review. And could those be sparks flying between Jessica and Richie (Ebon Moss-Bachrach)? We’re here for it.
Jamie Lee Curtis
The complicated Berzatto matriarch is also back, but Donna (Jamie Lee Curtis) has really put in the effort to work on herself since we — and Carmy — last saw her. She’s working as a realtor to help Uncle Jimmy (Oliver Platt) sell his house, has been sober for a year, and finally apologizes to Carmy for everything she put him through.
Rob Reiner
The Bear might actually become profitable, if only because of The Beef sandwich window. Ebraheim (Edwin Lee Gibson) levels up the takeout counter by enlisting the help of a mentor (Rob Reiner) who sees the clear franchise potential of the booming business.
Molly Gordon
Claire bear (Molly Gordon) is back, and she gets some much-needed closure after Carmy’s fridge freakout. First, she helps Sydney (Ayo Edebiri) in the hospital after her father has a heart attack. Then, as Carmy continued to work on his mental health, he finally felt ready to face Claire and literally ran rom-com-style through the streets of Chicago to see her. It took the entire season, but they finally got back together as Carmy no longer feared a peaceful relationship.
David Zayas
Tina’s (Liza Colón-Zayas) husband David (David Zayas) is also back, and he gets the honor of tasting her amazing cooking at home.
Kate Berlant
During one of Carmy’s Alcohol Anonymous meetings, he listens in on a gut-wrenching monologue from a girl named Georgie (Kate Berlant) talking about the devastating way she discovered that her brother relapsed.
Will Poulter
Luca’s (Will Poulter) back! And the tattooed chef can’t stop flirting with Sydney — and Marcus (Lionel Boyce) — when he becomes a stage at The Bear. More Luca is always the right choice.
Josh Hartnett
The wedding of the season — quite literally — brings back a lot of familiar faces, beginning with the groom, Frank (Josh Hartnett). While Richie always felt inferior to his ex’s new partner, the tables were turned when he helped Frank bond with his new stepdaughter.
Gillian Jacobs
The other half of the happy couple is, of course, Richie’s ex Tiffany (Gillian Jacobs). She was nervous about losing the Berzatto family after the divorce, so she was extremely touched to see them all attend her wedding to a new man. She even started crying as Unc promised her that she can’t get rid of them.
Brie Larson
For a long time, we’ve heard whisperings about the name Francie “F—ing” Fak. And this season, we finally met the woman, the myth, the legend who haunts Natalie (Abby Elliott). Francie (Brie Larson) shows up to the wedding, leading to a long-awaited confrontation and ultimately tearful reunion between the two former friends (and apparently former lovers?!).
John Mulaney
The biggest fan of the Berzatto family dysfunction also returns to attend the wedding, but Stevie (John Mulaney) is ultimately disappointed when no wild drama unfolds.
Sarah Paulson
Stevie’s partner Michelle (Sarah Paulson) also attends the wedding, but has to leave early because of a prior commitment. But she makes sure to share a meaningful, quiet moment with Tiffany before she has to dip.

Bob Odenkirk
And last — but certainly not least — Uncle Lee (Bob Odenkirk) returns for the wedding, and he also has an emotional, quiet moment with a member of the Berzatto clan. When Carmy escapes to the kitchen to avoid his mother, he runs into Lee, who redeems himself from his last chaotic appearance onscreen by telling Carmy that he and Mikey actually became good friends after Carmy left/before Mikey died. Lee also told Carmy that his leaving was actually a good thing, and that Donna was trying to be better. Their long talk helps Carmy realize it’s time to finally face his mother, leading to their powerful reunion.
