Emmerdale fans believe they’ve uncovered Billy Fletcher’s new love interest, and it’s not Belle Dingle or Kim Tate. Soap viewers will know that Billy (Jay Kontzle) has had a tough twelve months. His baby, Evan (Malachi McKenzie), was diagnosed with leukaemia last year, months before his father-in-law, Will Taylor (Dean Andrews), died of a heart attack at Christmas . That’s not all, as Billy’s wife, Dawn (Olivia Bromley), began an affair with Joe Tate (Ned Porteous) earlier this year. Determined to begin a new life with the villain, Dawn broke things off with a heartbroken Billy, who later found out about the affair from his daughter, Clemmie Reed (Mabel Addison). After realising that Dawn still loved Joe, even after he blackmailed Clemmie, Billy threatened to take the children away. He has since moved out of Home Farm, and remains on frosty terms with his ex-wife and her new boyfriend. This week, Joe was left seething after discovering that his car had been vandalised. On Wednesday (June 26), Joe believed an intruder had been in his room and quickly pointed the finger at Billy. He later went to the depot to confront Billy, who was having a conversation with his colleague Kerry Wyatt (Laura Norton). “Are you gonna stop playing games? Cause it’s not funny… I’m warning you now in front of a witness, next time I won’t be so understanding,” Joe said. A frustrated Billy then replied: “Next time you come here and start threatening us, you’ll find yourself back in that wheelchair, only this time for good.” “Maybe he’s due another accident,” Kerry added, with Billy concluding: “Yeah exactly. So, walk away, while you still can.” During Thursday’s (June 26) hour-long episode, which is now available to stream on ITVX, Joe enlisted his accomplice Shaun (James Boyland) to teach Billy a lesson. As Joe is hellbent on getting revenge, several Emmerdale fans are convinced that Billy could embark on a new romance with Kerry. “I think Billy may end up with Kerry,” one person wrote on a Facebook fan page. Another added: “Me too, they seemed to be enjoying each other’s company last night,” while a third said: “That would be a good match. Lots of laughs if nothing else.” A fourth viewer echoed the sentiment, saying: “I said that tonight, they are definitely going to get together and Dawn could get jealous seeing Billy with someone else.” Emmerdale airs weeknights on ITV1 at 7.30pm and is available to stream from 7am on ITVX
