Ex-Militants Hail Oborevwori Over Widows’ Stipends, Infrastructural Revolution Drive

WARRI – The Urhobo Ex-Militants Forum under the Presidential Amnesty Programme (PAP) has commended the Delta State Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, for his unwavering commitment to the welfare of widows and the impressive infrastructural transformation taking place across the state.

The commendation came during a strategic meeting of Urhobo ex-militant leaders from Delta Central Senatorial District, held at Ditton Hotel, Agbarho, Ughelli North Local Government Area.

Hon Ese Arigo, Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Security and President of the Urhobo Ex-Militants Forum (PAP Phases 1, 2, and 3), led the deliberations and described Governor Oborevwori as a compassionate and visionary leader who has kept faith with the people.

“Governor Oborevwori has shown uncommon love for the vulnerable and downtrodden in our society. His stipends to widows have brought dignity, relief, and renewed hope to countless families,” Arigo stated.

He emphasized that the timely and consistent disbursement of stipends to widows across Delta’s three senatorial districts demonstrates the Governor’s genuine commitment to social welfare and grassroots empowerment.

Arigo further praised Governor Sheriff Oborevori for the ongoing infrastructural transformation, highlighting landmark projects in road and fly -overs construction, healthcare delivery, education, and market development.

“The physical development we are witnessing today across Delta State is the direct result of the Governor’s M.O.R.E Agenda—Meaningful Development, Opportunities for All, Realistic Reforms, and Enhanced Peace and Security. It is not just a policy, but a visible reality,” he said.

On behalf of the forum, Arigo also expressed appreciation to Governor Oborevwori for the development initiatives being executed in Agbarho and its environs, commending the Governor for not neglecting the grassroots communities in his broader development strategy.

“We the Urhobo ex-militant leaders are particularly grateful for the good works His Excellency is doing in Agbarho and surrounding areas. This is a clear demonstration that every part of the state matters under his leadership,” he added.

In conclusion, the Urhobo Ex-Militants Forum formally endorsed Governor Sheriff Oborevwori and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for a second term in 2027, citing their integrity, inclusive governance style, and proven performance across key sectors.

“Governor Oborevwori has earned our trust and our full support. We stand solidly behind him and are confident that another term will deepen the progress already recorded,” Arigo declared.

The meeting was attended strictly by Urhobo ex-militant leaders from Delta Central, reaffirming their collective support for the Oborevwori administration and that of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
