Lewis Capaldi fans spot three huge new clues he is playing Glastonbury as new song 'confirmed'

Lewis Capaldi has been speculated to be making a return to the stage for Glastonbury round two for weeks now and one major new clue has filled fans with even more hope that the rumours could be true. The Scots singer has been taking a break from the spotlight for the past two years after his Glastonbury 2023 performance saw him visibly struggling with his Tourette’s Syndrome to the point fans had to finish his songs for him. After his debut at Worthy Farm, the 28-year-old announced a break from music and cancelled all of his upcoming gigs to focus on his mental and physical health. Lewis is now rumoured to be making a major return and what better way to do it then to return to give the Glastonbury performance of his dreams that he sadly couldn’t manage last time. While nothing has officially been confirmed as of yet, many are convinced that the Someone You Loved hitmaker will be taking the Secret Slot on Friday night, following Canadian star Alanis Morrisette. This huge new clue is the closest thing to a confirmation that fans have so far after several mysterious billboards have popped up across the country. One of these billboards was spotted in St Enoch Square in Glasgow while another is at Castle Cary in Somerset at a station which is the closest one to the festival’s location. Both tease the reveal of a secret ‘TBA’ Glastonbury performer and are also said to feature the lyrics of an unreleased song from Capaldi, with a leaked version of it currently doing the rounds on TikTok. The billboards feature a white screen with bold red text and a phone number. The Glasgow city centre one reads: “I refuse to spend my best years rotting in the sun”. Meanwhile the Castle Cary one states: “I鈥檝e had my share of Monday mornings when I can鈥檛 get up”. The featured number allows fans to text for more information and when messaged, a reply comes back that reads “Hey, it鈥檚 TBA, thanks for signing up.鈥 It also provides an option to click a link where they can save a “contact card” with another message that reads: 鈥淚鈥檓 gonna get up and live until the day that I die鈥. Fans are now convinced that Capaldi will be making his return to the stage as the billboard messages appear to align with the lyrics to Lewis’ unreleased new song. More fuel has been added to the fire after the singer was seen liking several posts on Instagram relating to the mysterious billboards. Fans rushed to X to have their say on the latest clues as one wrote: I have a feeling Lewis Capaldi is coming back tomorrow and is a TBA at Glastonbury.” Another chimed in: “Lewis Capaldi comeback is here and I am so ready!” A third wrote: “The ‘secret’ performance at Glastonbury is Lewis Capaldi, it’s not rocket science #Glastonbury.” Join the Daily Record’s WhatsApp community here an d get the latest news sent straight to your messages Lewis is also said to be dropping a brand new single today, which may be the same track that fans are speculating is being showcased on the billboards, the Sun reports. The news of this comes just 24 hours before the TBA slot plays Glastonbury and this would make perfect timing for Lewis to perform his brand new track to the crowds. A source said: 鈥淟ewis took a decent chunk of time away and now he鈥檚 ready for his fans to hear what he has been working on. 鈥淭oday is a huge day for him. He will be releasing a brand new single and it is his Pyramid Stage performance. He is in a great place and feels ready to come back into the spotlight.鈥
