Scarlett Johansson and Jonathan Bailey have been making waves online for their red carpet kisses during the promotion of Jurassic World Rebirth. The co-stars locked lips in front of the cameras at the movie’s premieres in London and New York.
Bailey told Entertainment Weekly during the New York premiere that it was a natural display of the pair’s friendship. “I believe in being able to show love in all different ways,” he said. “And if you can’t kiss your friends… life’s too short not to.”
Now, during a recent appearance on Today, Scarlett Johansson has weighed in. Host Craig Melvin asked the actress about the kisses, noting that Bailey is “just so attractive.”
“He’s a lovable guy, what can I say?” Johansson replied. “I don’t know. We’re friendly people.”
Melvin then asked if she was surprised by the Internet’s reaction. Johansson responded, “Nothing surprises me, you know what I mean? Nothing surprises me these days. But yeah, I’ve got a lot of love to give. What can I say?”
Elsewhere during the interview, Johansson reflected on her long-held dream of being part of the Jurassic franchise and the many Easter eggs that appear in Jurassic World Rebirth, including a nod to Jaws.

“I saw the movie Jurassic Park when I was 10 years old in the theater and it was so impactful,” she said. “I was, like the entire audience, completely transfixed, mesmerized, carried away, terrified. All of that stuff. It’s part of the formative part of my childhood. I just think being a part of this universe, it’s meaningful in a way I think because of its Spielbergian roots too.”
Jurassic World Rebirth, directed by Gareth Edwards, follows Johansson’s Zora Bennett as she leads a team comprised of combat expert Duncan Kincaid (Mahershala Ali) and paleontologist Dr. Henry Loomis (Bailey) on a top-secret mission to a remote island where the few surviving dinosaur species inhabit the land. The trio is tasked with obtaining the creatures’ DNA, which holds vital biomaterials that would aid in making a revolutionary drug. The film also stars Rupert Friend, Ed Skrein, and Manuel Garcia-Rulfo.
