New Delhi, Jun 26 (PTI) President Droupadi Murmu on Thursday visited ailing former Jharkhand chief minister Shibu Soren at the Sir Ganga Ram Hospital here.
She met Soren鈥檚 son and Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren, and enquired about his father鈥檚 health.
鈥淧resident Droupadi Murmu visited the ailing former Chief Minister of Jharkhand, Shri Shibu Soren, at Sir Ganga Ram Hospital. She met Shri Soren鈥檚 son and Chief Minister of Jharkhand Shri Hemant Soren, and enquired about Shri Shibu Soren鈥檚 health,鈥 her office said in a post on X and shared a picture of the meeting.
Shibu Soren (81) has been in the hospital for the past five days, officials said.
A veteran leader of the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM), Shibu Soren is recognised as the party鈥檚 founding patron.
Murmu was Jharkhand鈥檚 governor from May 18, 2015 to July 13, 2021.
She had visited the hospital to inaugurate the Sir Ganga Ram Cancer Centre, which aims to provide comprehensive care to cancer patients.
