Accor, Megaworld to open Mercure Mactan Cebu in Q4 2025

Global hospitality group Accor is set to open Mercure Mactan Cebu in the fourth quarter of 2025 through a new partnership with Megaworld Corporation, the country鈥檚 largest township developer and operator of homegrown hotel brands.The hotel will rise within Megaworld鈥檚 30-hectare Mactan Newtown township in Lapu-Lapu City, Cebu. The mixed-use estate includes a beachfront, residential towers, retail outlets, office buildings, and the upcoming Mactan Expo 鈥 an emerging hub for meetings, incentives, conferences, and exhibitions (MICE).The new property will add 550 keys to Accor鈥檚 growing Asia portfolio and further strengthen its presence in the Philippines. Mercure Mactan Cebu will offer guests immersive Filipino-inspired experiences through its interiors, cuisine, and services.
