ISLAMABAD: President Asif Ali Zardari has called on the citizens to unite in eliminating drugs and supporting national efforts to build a healthier and safer Pakistan.
The president said that drug abuse and illicit trafficking remain global challenges that demand unified and sustained international cooperation. Pakistan continues to make determined efforts to combat this menace and supports all international and multilateral initiatives in this regard, he added.
鈥淲e will continue to strengthen our institutions and rehabilitation services, and invest in preventive education and outreach. Together, we can safeguard future generations and ensure that every individual has the opportunity to live a life free from the influence of narcotics,鈥 the president said in his message on International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking.
