Dadasaheb Phalke鈥檚 Grandson Shares BIG Update About Biopic On Father Of Indian Cinema Starring Aamir Khan

Aamir Khan will be collaborating with 3 Idiots director Rajkumar Hirani once again for a biopic on the Father of Indian cinema, Dadasaheb Phalke. The film has already started creating a solid buzz amongst the masses since its inception. However, Dadasaheb Phalke鈥檚 grandson, Chandrashekhar Srikrishna Pusalkar, in a recent interview, revealed that initially there were no takers for the story. Dadasaheb Phalke鈥檚 grandson on Aamir Khan-led biopic Dadasaheb Phalke鈥檚 grandson Chandashekhar stated that Hindukush Bharadwaj and his son Avishkar have done extensive research and written the script over the last four years. According to him, the duo had approached many producers, but nobody was willing to take it on because of the lack of masala in it for a mainstream entertainer. Chandrashekhar told Mid-Day, 鈥淢r Hirani said it was our duty to make a film on the man who put Indian cinema on the world map, and because of him, we have rozi-roti. He also said that his intention with the film wasn鈥檛 to make profit but for people all over the world to know about Dadasaheb Phalke.鈥 Pusalkar also shared a big update about the Phalke biopic鈥檚 filming. It will show his struggle to make his film, Raja Harishchandra (1913). Let us tell you, SS Rajamouli has also announced a biopic on Phalke with Jr NTR. While shedding more light on the storyline, Pusalkar said, 鈥淭he story will cover the childhood of my grandfather, who was born in Trimbak near Nashik. He had no plan of making movies, but when he saw the film on Jesus Christ [The Birth, the Life and the Death of Christ], he thought why shouldn鈥檛 our culture, gods, and goddesses be shown?. That鈥檚 how Raja Harishchandra happened.鈥 Phalke will also explore Dadasaheb Phalke鈥檚 second wife, Saraswati Phalke鈥檚, struggles for her husband. He said, 鈥淢y grandmother gave him her jewellery to help him go to London. She would sit in on the film鈥檚 editing and help him with reflectors on outdoor shoots.鈥 She was a great pillar of support to the father of Indian cinema.
