Jennie Garth chose herself. Now, she’s revealing how.
The Beverly Hills, 90210 alum, 53, is releasing a book, I Choose Me, Park Row Books announced on Wednesday, June 25. The book is slated to release on April 14, 2026, and PEOPLE can exclusively reveal its cover.
Billed as “part inspirational memoir, part motivational advice,” I Choose Me — for which Garth will also be narrating an audiobook — aims to empower “women to choose a path of health, healing and happiness,” the publisher said.
“Inspired by her thought-provoking podcast of the same name – Jennie brings her signature mix of warmth, honesty and humor to this deeply personal book about self-discovery and reclaiming your power,” an official synopsis reads.
“Through fame, heartbreak, motherhood and personal reinvention, Jennie discovered the transformative power of putting herself first,” the synopsis continues. “By learning to prioritize her own needs and desires, she found the strength to thrive — and to uplift others.”
According to an official statement from Garth, I Choose Me “is the culmination of everything I’ve lived, lost, and learned.”
“I wanted to share the messy, beautiful truth of what it takes to rediscover yourself — through motherhood, heartbreak, aging and reinvention,” the actress, designer, entrepreneur and podcast host said in an official statement. “My hope is that every woman who reads it feels seen, supported and inspired to put herself first without guilt.”
In the pages of I Choose Me, Garth “invites readers on a deeply personal journey, championing self-care and encouraging women to reclaim control of their mental and physical well-being,” according to an official description.

“Blending intimate stories and hard-won wisdom on a variety of topics — from health and aging to motherhood and relationships, grief, faith and finding purpose — Jennie’s reflections offer a road map to help you say yes to one’s truest self,” the description continues. “Whether it’s finding clarity in chaos, carving out moments to recharge or learning to trust your voice again, she shows how choosing ‘You’ isn’t selfish — it’s the most powerful act of self-respect.”
Reflecting on her life in an interview with PEOPLE in 2024, Garth said that “you just reach a point where you’re like, life is too short to do something that I don’t fully love.”
This is part of why she stepped away from acting, and why she started her podcast of the same in 2024, which has has since welcomed guests like Busy Philipps and Jason Priestley. Garth previously told PEOPLE, “I think that just the overall synergy of this whole ‘I Choose Me’ movement for me is what it’s creating in my life on a career level, and just moving forward with the podcast and finally getting clear.”
I Choose Me comes out April 14, 2026 and is available for preorder now, wherever books are sold.
