Hyderabad: In a tragic loss to the medical fraternity, Dr. Kuruva Raju Kumar, a young and dedicated orthopaedic surgeon from Medchal, Hyderabad, passed away due to a sudden cardiac arrest at the age of 37. Dr. Kumar was working as a Junior Consultant at KIMS Hospital in Secunderabad. With over seven years of experience in the field, he specialised in accident and trauma care, hip and knee replacements, and general orthopaedic problems related to bones and joints.Known for his ethical practice and commitment to providing affordable, quality care, he had earned the respect of both his colleagues and patients.Also read- Shocker: 26 year old MBBS Doctor dies of cardiac arrest while taking Delhi Metro rideSharing the heartbreaking news on social media platform ‘X’ (formerly Twitter), a fellow doctor wrote, “It’s heartbreaking to hear about the sudden passing of Dr. Raj Kumar, a dedicated Orthopaedic Surgeon from Medchal due to MI /cardiac arrest. He was just 37 and seemed to have a healthy lifestyle. His helpful nature are truly commendable.”Another doctor commented, “Dr. Raj Kumar served at KIMS Hospital, Secunderabad. It鈥檚 deeply saddening to hear this news. Many doctors neglect their own health, work long hours under stress, and prioritize patients over personal and family life. May his soul rest in peace. “He had aortic dissection. Collapsed in ER. Couldn鈥檛 be revived after 90 minutes of CPR,” said another doctor. Dr Kumar completed his MBBS from Bharati Vidyapeeth Medical College in Sangli, Maharashtra. He later pursued his MS in Orthopaedics from Narayana Medical College, Nellore, and went on to complete a Fellowship in Hip and Knee Replacement at Hyderabad Multi-Speciality Hospital.His untimely demise is a sharp reminder of the growing health risks faced even by those in the healthcare profession.
