Daniel dreading playing Killarney if Kerry win Sam Maguire

Singer and GAA fan Daniel O鈥橠onnell has said he is dreading performing in Kerry later this year if his native Donegal don鈥檛 win the All-Ireland.

The world-famous singer is due to play three shows in the Gleneagle Arena in Killarney at the end of August.

But Daniel has said he is hoping that Jim McGuinness鈥 Donegal team will have captured the Sam Maguire trophy by that stage.

Daniel told his millions of fans around the world that there has been great excitement in his native county as they go in search of a third All-Ireland final.

But he admits that he鈥檒l be in trouble in Kerry if Donegal don鈥檛 do the business and take home the famous cup back to the hills of Donegal.

He said 鈥淲e鈥檙e looking forward to coming to Kerry and we鈥檙e hoping that Sam Maguire will be living in Donegal.

鈥淔or those of you who are not from Ireland and not familiar with Sam Maguire, it鈥檚 a trophy for the All-Ireland football championship.

鈥淒onegal are still in there and thanks to Jim and everyone on the team and everyone behind the scenes for a great summer. You have given us great entertainment. We meet Monaghan next week and that will be no walk in the park.

鈥淧lease God we鈥檒l make it all the way to the final and take Sam back to Donegal but whatever the case we are very grateful t Jim and everybody for the great entertainment all summer.

鈥淚鈥檒l get some rumble if I go to Kerry and Sam Maguire is in Kerry by then or maybe some other county. Anyway it鈥檚 great excitement here all year to see who will be the All-Ireland champions.鈥
