Aap Jaisa Koi trailer out Slated for release on July 11, the film has already generated significant buzz after the first single Jab Tu Sajan. Taking to Instagram, they dropped the trailer and wrote, “It鈥檚 the era of baraabari waala pyaar鉁 Watch Aap Jaisa Koi, out 11 July, only on Netflix.” In Aap Jaisa Koi, Madhavan takes on the role of Shrirenu Tripathi, a scholarly man rooted in Indian tradition, while Fatima Sana Shaikh plays Madhu, a vibrant woman with modern sensibilities. Their paths cross unexpectedly, setting off a journey that challenges societal norms and personal beliefs. The film presents a story of ageless romance, one that鈥檚 not limited by age or convention. The central theme, described as 鈥渂arabari wala pyaar鈥 (equal love), comes across in the trailer. Speaking about the role, R. Madhavan shares, “Aap Jaisa Koi is unlike any love story I鈥檝e done before, it鈥檚 quiet, awkward, and deeply human. Shrirenu is one of the most complex characters I鈥檝e played, someone who longs for companionship and closeness, but doesn鈥檛 quite know how to ask for it, yet he is rich with emotion underneath. This film isn鈥檛 loud or dramatic, it鈥檚 patient, gentle, and deeply affecting. I was drawn to how it speaks to all the people who鈥檝e felt overlooked in life or love. Aap Jaisa Koi is a reminder that it鈥檚 never too late to start living on your own terms. It鈥檚 a story about vulnerability, rediscovery, and the idea that it鈥檚 never too late to open your heart.” More about Aap Jaisa Koi Director Vivek Soni, known for Meenakshi Sundareshwar, once again brings together intimate storytelling and strong character work.
