Reading Time: < 1 minute Comvita has announced its chief financial officer, Nigel Greenwood, will be leaving the company at the end of this year. Greenwood joined Comvita in 2020 during a period of significant transformation and has been a pivotal member of the executive team, overseeing the company鈥檚 financial strategy, investor relations, and corporate services. In a statement on NZX, the company said that for the remainder of his tenure, Greenwood will continue to support the business, and is focused on strengthening key financial functions, particularly in the southeast Asia and China markets. Comvita chair Bridget Coates extended her heartfelt thanks on behalf of the company to Greenwood for his significant contribution. 鈥淗is financial, commercial, primary sector and listed company experience, along with team leadership skills and dedication, have been invaluable to Comvita. We appreciate his commitment to assisting Comvita, through the transition to the new leadership. We wish him all the best for the future.鈥 The announcement comes weeks after Comvita advised of an expected net loss before tax of between $20 million and $24m in the 2025 financial year, ahead of the annual results publication date in late August. It will be the second year of net losses of this magnitude and the listed m膩nuka honey producer and exporter has warned of significant non-cash impairments in the forthcoming results. Revenue in the year ended June 30 is expected to be slightly down on the year before and gross margins will be down because of aggressive proving and channel loading by competitors in the core product, m膩nuka honey. 鈥淧rice discounting to sell surplus higher cost inventory is expected to continue through the next two quarters,鈥 the company said. Decisions around a permanent replacement CFO will be led by incoming CEO Karl Gradon.
