Karnataka moves to cap movie tickets at Rs 200

The Karnataka government is trying to make cinema more affordable. New draft rules propose capping movie ticket prices at Rs 200 across the state. This includes entertainment tax. All seating categories will be priced the same. Stakeholders have two weeks to submit feedback. Film industry associations support the move. Multiplex owners have previously opposed similar measures.
