China’s market regulator has conditionally approved Synopsys’ acquisition of simulation software firm Ansys. The approval follows eased US export restrictions and includes commitments to uphold Chinese customer contracts, pricing, and fair access to electronic design tools. The merged entity must also maintain and renew interoperability agreements with Chinese clients.
