Israeli airstrikes killed at least 35 Palestinians across Gaza since early Saturday morning. According to hospital sources, among the dead were women, children, and civilians who were waiting for aid. The attacks also injured dozens. Many of the victims were from areas hit without warning. A school sheltering displaced families was also targeted, killing five people.
One of the deadliest strikes occurred in al-Mawasi, where seven members of a single family died inside a makeshift tent. Other areas hit include the Maghazi refugee camp, where an airstrike flattened a home and killed two people. In Gaza鈥檚 az-Zarqa neighborhood, another air raid killed one and wounded several. Reports from local news agencies confirm injuries continue to rise as rescue teams search for survivors.
These deadly strikes happened as Hamas gave a positive response to a proposed ceasefire plan. Observers say Israel often steps up bombing before any truce. In Lebanon, an Israeli drone also struck Shebaa town near the border, but no confirmed casualties have been reported yet.
The draft ceasefire deal offers a 60-day pause in fighting, backed by the United States. Under this plan, Hamas would release 10 Israeli hostages alive and return the bodies of 18 others. Israel would halt all military action, including daily drone surveillance, and allow humanitarian aid to enter Gaza through UN and Red Crescent coordination.
Since October 2023, Israel鈥檚 offensive has killed more than 57,000 Palestinians, including over 13,000 children. Over 14,000 people are still missing. Israel now faces war crimes charges at the International Criminal Court, while the International Court of Justice is also hearing a genocide case. Protests across Yemen, led by Houthi supporters, continue to show support for Gaza鈥檚 people.
