La Liga has released the fixtures for the 2025/26 season, setting the stage for an exciting title race as Hansi Flick鈥檚 Barcelona prepare to defend their title against a new-look Real Madrid side under Xabi Alonso.
While Diego Simeone鈥檚 Atl茅tico Madrid will also aim to challenge, all eyes will once again be on the fierce rivalry between Bar莽a and Madrid.
The season is set to kick off on the weekend of August 17, with the final games scheduled for the weekend of May 24, 2026.

The opening round of fixtures sees Barcelona travel to RCD Mallorca for the first of three consecutive away games, as work continues on Camp Nou. Atl茅tico Madrid will face Espanyol away.
Real Madrid are scheduled to host Osasuna for their opener, though this match could be postponed if Los Blancos reach the Club World Cup semi-finals, requiring additional rest for their players.
Key El Cl谩sico and Derby Dates
La Liga will maintain the same format for the highly anticipated El Cl谩sico matchups. The first El Cl谩sico will take place at the Santiago Bernab茅u on October 26, 2025 (Matchday 10), with Real Madrid hosting Barcelona.
The return fixture will be held at Camp Nou on May 10, 2026 (Matchday 35), making it the fourth-to-last game of the season, potentially with significant title implications.
