The SP said that the new vehicles would play a vital role in removing traffic snarls and help in effective law enforcement. He also called for public assistance during road accidents. The SP said that swift deployment of rescue teams would lead to minimal disruption and improved public safety.
Four of the 16 two-wheelers were allotted to Chittoor sub-division, while the remaining would be sent to the other police stations based on requirements.
Additional SP (Operations and Administration) S.R. Rajasekhar Raju flagged off a bike rally, signalling their launch. Interestingly, the SP led the procession through the arterial junctions of the corporation.
